GENESIS GLP-1

It was never your willpower. It was a hormone your gut stopped making.

Quiet The 9pm Pantry Pull And The 3pm Crash, Without $1,000 Shots, Berberine, Or One More Diet

GLP-1 isn't a medication.

It's a hormone your own gut made for free for fifty years, until the bacterium that switched it on starved out.

Genesis GLP-1 seeds that keystone bacterium, then feeds it the two old-world fibers modern food stripped away, so your own gut can send the signal again.*

How it works, part one

Why the signal went quiet

Your gut has thousands of tiny factories, and something has to press the button

The lining of your intestines is studded with cells called L-cells.

When food comes through, an L-cell releases GLP-1 into your blood.

GLP-1 is the hormone that tells your brain the meal is over and keeps "full" from wearing off in forty minutes.

GLP-1 also helps your body handle the sugar in that meal instead of filing it straight into storage.

That's the same hormone the $1,000-a-month injections are synthetic copies of.

Here's the part almost nobody knows.

Your L-cells aren't on a timer.

They're switch-operated, and they sit there waiting to be told.

The button-pusher lives in a layer one millimeter thick

Inside your gut is a slick mucus layer about a millimeter deep.

One bacterium lives inside that layer and tends it, the way a gardener lives in the hedge she keeps.

Its name is Akkermansia muciniphila, and a Dutch team at Wageningen only gave it that name in 2004.1

Akkermansia secretes a protein called P9.

P9 floats over to an L-cell and fits a docking point on the surface like a key in a lock, and the L-cell releases GLP-1.2

That research is preclinical, done in mice and in cells, and we'll say so every single time.

But it names the switch.

"GLP-1 Starvation": the die-off nobody told you about

The Akkermansia die-off: a thick mucus layer at age 25 against a thin patchy layer at age 60

Akkermansia lives on the mucus layer, so anything that thins the layer starves the tenant.

Three things thin it.

Modern food. The layer is fed by fermentable fiber reaching the far end of your gut, and modern food doesn't send much down there.

Antibiotics. Every course you've taken since childhood cleared the neighborhood, and not every resident moved back in.

Age. Researchers have observed Akkermansia levels dropping as people get older, and in aging animals, supplementing it kept the mucus layer from thinning the way it otherwise did.3

Then the loop starts feeding itself.

A thinner layer means less Akkermansia, and less Akkermansia means the layer thins further.

Less Akkermansia also means less P9, which means fewer keys turning in fewer locks.

Your L-cells go quiet, and your own GLP-1 supply dries up.

That whole slide is what we call GLP-1 Starvation.

GLP-1 Starvation isn't a disease and it isn't a diagnosis.

It's a signal that stopped getting sent.

GLP-1 Starvation flow: fiber-poor food, antibiotics and age thin the mucus layer, Akkermansia starves, no P9 key, L-cells go quiet

Now hold your own life up against that diagram.

Hunger that never actually switches off, because the "you're full" message isn't being sent.

A nine o'clock craving that feels like a character flaw and is really a missing signal.

A hard crash at three in the afternoon.

And a body that stores everything you feed it, because the hormone that says burn instead has gone quiet.

You didn't get weak. Your gut got evicted.

What's inside

Five ingredients, three jobs, one mechanism

What each one is, where it comes from, and exactly what the research does and does not say.

No proprietary blend. No forty-ingredient label built to look impressive.

Five ingredients you can pronounce and check.

How it works, part two

The P9 Protein

Akkermansia releases the P9 key, which fits the L-cell lock and releases GLP-1

The P9 protein is how your body creates its own gut-made GLP-1.

Which is why the order of operations matters more than anything else on this page.

You can't fertilize bare dirt.

Feeding nothing against seed first, then feed

SEED

Put the missing signalers back: the keystone, the second signaler and the peacekeeper.

You can't eat your way to Akkermansia, because no food on earth contains it.

FEED

Ship the colony's fuel in the same capsule.

Chicory root inulin is the old-world coffee cup, and resistant potato starch is the cellar potato.

Both of them feed the far end of your gut, which is exactly where the colony lives.

SIGNAL

The signal step is the part you don't have to do anything for.

A restored colony behaves the way a healthy young gut behaves, without being asked.

The P9 keys go out, butyrate goes right behind them, and your L-cells start getting tapped on the shoulder again.

Your own GLP-1, on your own schedule, meal by meal, in the amount your body decides.*

Not a fixed synthetic dose on a weekly injection schedule.

The proof

The research trail

We'd rather hand you the dates than ask you to trust us.

The Akkermansia trail: 2004 Netherlands, 2013 PNAS, 2019 Nature Medicine, 2021 Nature Microbiology, 2026 Gut Microbes

2004, the Netherlands. A Dutch team isolates the bacterium and names it for the first time.1

2013, PNAS. In mice on a rich Western diet, giving Akkermansia turned the fat gain around and brought the thinned mucus layer back toward normal.12

2019, Nature Medicine. The first human trial ran three months in forty overweight adults, and in the pasteurized group insulin sensitivity improved 28.6% against placebo while insulin levels came down 34.1%.8

2021, Nature Microbiology. The P9 protein is identified, and the key and the lock finally get names.2

2026, Gut Microbes. Adults with metabolic syndrome took pasteurized Akkermansia daily for three months while researchers measured their own GLP-1 response.9

In the people who started with the lowest baseline levels, the results came in against placebo: better insulin sensitivity, a higher GLP-1 response after a meal challenge, and reductions in body weight and trunk fat.9

Sit with the shape of that last finding for a second.

Akkermansia worked best in the people who had the least of it to begin with.

Now think about who has the least of it.

Anyone who has eaten sixty years of modern food, taken every antibiotic course life handed them, and crossed into the decades where researchers have observed those levels drop.3

There's also a third human trial, published in 2026, on keeping weight off after you've lost it.10

We haven't read the full text yet, so we won't quote a single number out of it at you.

But three human trials on one organism is a different thing than one interesting study.

Honest note on doses

The fiber trials above used gram-scale daily doses, and the Akkermansia trials used pasteurized cells at a cell count our supplier hasn't yet confirmed for this formula.

The fibers here are the colony's fuel rather than a research-sized fiber dose.

We cite the bacterium studied in human trials without claiming our form or dose repeats those trials.

What else is on that shelf, and what it's missing

The shelf you've already tried is mostly berberine, plain fiber, and a bag of whatever strains were cheapest to grow. Here's the difference in one screen.

Berberine doesn't act on the GLP-1 system, and the "nature's Ozempic" nickname has been publicly picked apart by health researchers, with average weight differences in the research working out to roughly four pounds.13 14 The comparison is to product categories, not to any single named brand. Prescription GLP-1 injections are a different pathway entirely and aren't compared in this table.

How this is different from the shots

We're not going to attack the injections, and we're not going to pretend to be one.

What the injections do

They deliver a synthetic copy of GLP-1 from the outside, on a fixed schedule, at list prices around a thousand dollars a month.15 16

The day the shipments stop, the copy stops, and nothing underneath it ever changed.

That isn't a fix. That's rent.

What Genesis GLP-1 does

It's a dietary supplement built to support your body's own GLP-1 production from the inside, by seeding the organism behind the P9 signal and feeding it.*

Different pathway, different scale, different price.

Anyone telling you a capsule matches an injection is selling you something.

We'd rather keep you than impress you.

Stories from people who started with the same question you have

A Note On Proof

You may already know us.

Old World Healing started with Old World Relief, our topical cream.

More than 47,000 jars have gone out the door, with a 4.8 rating and over 2,800 five-star reviews.

Genesis GLP-1 is new, so the accounts below are illustrative rather than customer reviews.

A woman in her late fifties relaxed in her living room in the evening

The evenings were the thing I noticed

"I stopped trusting myself around food somewhere in my fifties. Dinner would end and forty minutes later I'd be standing at the open pantry like an idiot. The pantry thing just quietly stopped being a thing. I didn't white-knuckle it, it stopped being interesting. My clothes fit differently now and that's nice, but the evenings are what I'd tell a friend about."

Diane R., Ohio

A man in his sixties sitting on a porch step in the late afternoon

I get through the afternoon now

"My sister-in-law is on the injections and she looks great, and I couldn't do it. Not the needle, not the price, not signing up forever. What sold me was that the story finally made sense. Nobody had ever explained why I was hungry all the time, they just told me to eat less. Three months in, the three o'clock crash is the thing that's most obviously different."

Raymond T., Texas

A woman in her sixties reading a printed article at her kitchen table

They told me upfront it would be gradual, and it was

"I've bought a lot of things that didn't work, so I read the whole thing twice before I ordered. What I appreciated was being told upfront that it would be gradual. Around week five I noticed I was putting the fork down partway through dinner without thinking about it. I haven't done that since my thirties."

Patricia M., Florida

What the first twelve weeks tend to look like

We could write you a much more exciting section than this one. We're not going to.

A realistic first 12 weeks, week by week

Week 1. Mostly quiet, because a colony has to establish before it can signal.

Weeks 2 to 3. The first thing people tend to mention shows up here, and it's rarely the scale.

It's the evening, when the stretch between dinner and bed stops being a negotiation.

Weeks 4 to 6. "Full" starts arriving earlier in the meal, and people describe leaving food on the plate without any decision being involved.

Weeks 8 to 12. The clothes-fit stretch, slow and unglamorous and finally going the right direction.

This is also the window the human trials ran in, which makes it the honest place to judge it.

A colony is not a dose.

You aren't swallowing an effect, you're planting something and feeding it, and living things establish on their own timeline.

Judging this after a week is like judging a garden the week you planted it.

Individual results may vary. Genesis GLP-1 is a dietary supplement, not a medication.

What makes Genesis GLP-1 different?

Here's why we built a seed-and-feed formula instead of one more bottle off the "natural Ozempic" shelf.

Mary Miller, herbalist and natural health researcher at Old World Healing, in her workroom

"The injections don't give you anything new. They're an expensive imitation of a hormone your gut made for free for decades. Genesis GLP-1 doesn't imitate the hormone. It's built to restore the gut engine that makes it."

Mary Miller

Herbalist and Natural Health Researcher, Old World Healing

Genesis GLP-1 on cream linen with chicory and potato starch

The formula is the folklore

Chicory root coffee and cold cellar potatoes aren't a marketing story we bolted on afterward.

They're the two old-world foods that happen to feed the exact organism modern eating starved out.

Our great-grandparents weren't counting anything.

They just ate what was in front of them, and what was in front of them fed the gardener.

Five ingredients, and we'll tell you where each one is weak

Chicory root and resistant starch are here as the colony's fuel, and their research doses are far larger than what a capsule carries.

The P9 mechanism is preclinical, done in mice and in cells.

Clostridium butyricum has animal evidence and essentially no human weight trials.

Bifidobacterium infantis gets no weight claim from us at all.

We print all of it, because a company trying to fool you doesn't volunteer the weak parts.

An old world kitchen table with chicory coffee, dark bread and cold potatoes
The monthly shipping carton opened on a doormat with the bottle inside

A colony needs tending, not a single delivery

This is the honest reason we put a subscription in front of you, and the reason it saves you $10 every month.

Seeding a colony and then stopping is planting a garden and walking away from it in week two.

Your fresh supply arrives on your schedule, and you can reschedule, skip a shipment or cancel from your account in about thirty seconds.

Ask us the hard ones

Yes.

GLP-1 is a hormone your intestines have been releasing your whole life, for free.

The prescription injections are synthetic copies of it, which is the entire premise of this page.

Because "you're full" is a signal, and signals can stop getting sent.

When the L-cells in your gut go quiet, the meal ends but the hunger doesn't.

No, and we won't pretend otherwise.

The injections deliver a synthetic copy of GLP-1 from the outside.

Genesis GLP-1 is a supplement made to support your body's own GLP-1 production from the inside.*

Different pathway, different scale, different price.

The opposite.

Berberine never touches the GLP-1 system, which is why the "nature's Ozempic" nickname got taken apart by health researchers.13 14

Akkermansia has three human clinical trials and a named protein mechanism behind it.

Chicory Root Inulin 211 mg, Potato Starch (resistant starch) 100 mg, and a 35 mg Probiotic Blend of Bifidobacterium infantis, Clostridium butyricum and Akkermansia muciniphila.

That's the whole label, with no proprietary blend hiding the amounts.

Because three of them seed the signal and two of them feed it.

Adding a twelfth ingredient would make the label look busier without giving the colony anything it needs.

Please do, they're good for you and they're literally in the formula.

But food feeds the colony, and food can't plant it.

Akkermansia has no dietary source anywhere on earth.

By weight, 35 mg per capsule, split across Bifidobacterium infantis, Clostridium butyricum and Akkermansia muciniphila.

Our label declares the blend by weight and carries no CFU figure, so we don't publish one.

We'd rather print what the label actually says than an estimate.

One capsule daily, with an 8 oz. glass of water.

Refrigerate for optimal quality.

Take the next one and carry on.

Consistency is what matters here, because a colony fed daily establishes and one fed on Tuesdays doesn't.

Most people describe the evening cravings quieting first, generally somewhere in the second to fourth week.

The human trials ran three months, and that's the honest window to judge it in.

Individual results vary.

Generally yes, because this is fiber and probiotic organisms.

If you take prescription medication or manage a health condition, talk to your doctor before starting anything new, including this.

Genesis GLP-1 is formulated for adults.

It isn't intended for children, and not for anyone pregnant or nursing without their doctor's sign-off.

In the USA, with globally sourced ingredients, exactly as the label states.

30 capsules, at a serving size of one capsule a day, so one bottle is one month.

Some people notice a little extra gas or gurgling in the first week, which is what usually happens when fermentable fiber reaches a gut that hasn't seen much of it lately.

The gurgling generally settles.

Stop and speak with your doctor if anything concerns you.

That crash is one of the things people mention most, and it lines up with what GLP-1 does for how your body handles the sugar in a meal.*

Genesis GLP-1 is support rather than a stimulant, and there's no caffeine in the bottle.
